The international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking recognises the sever impact that drugs have on health, peace and security. Every year around one lakh ninety thousand people die due to illicit drugs. But still the consumption goes on. Drug use damages health in different forms like HIV, hepatitis and also nourishes deadly terrorism. Corruption also exists throughout the drug supply chain. Drug mafias have further links with terrorists and smugglers. The habit becomes so confirmed that the victim becomes a slave to the drug. If a drug-addict is unable to get the required drug at the proper time, he or she would be ready to get it at any cost.
